what we are all
about
Northland Timber came to existence back in the
1940’s when my grandfather had a vision.
My grandpa had seen the land as a viable resource
for income while having respect for its bounty and beauty. Northland Timber was
born.

randpa harvested timber from the land with a sustainable mindset even back then.
He worked hard with little more than a chainsaw and a tractor, spending backbreaking
hours working diligently to make the woodland even better than before.
|
Grandpa passed his ambitions on to his son and taught him to also respect the land in which we
live on. He learned to carefully harvest with regards to the wildlife and other trees growing around the forest. My
father learned to carefully choose what trees were no longer beneficial to the woods and which ones were.
My father learned the importance and fundamentals of what makes a healthy thriving forest and
what the importance of sustainability is. Care has always been taken to seek those goals that were set forth many
years ago.
Northland Timber has now been passed on to me; I am the third generation of timber harvesters in
our family. Although my grandfather is long past, my father has slowed down in the family business and is no longer
actively involved.
We are not a big corporate company that sends a representative out to see you; you will be
greeted by one of our family members. We will personally walk with you through your woodland and discuss what your
ideas and goals are for your harvest and your woodland.
No big company cutting company will be on your land, we have our own team to care for your
harvesting, and there is no middle man. Attention will be given to your woodland personally by either me or my
partner who happens to be my brother-in-law.
It only makes good sense to do good business, respect the landowner, the land and the wildlife
and we all win.
